Hazardous Chemical Decontamination

Successful hazardous chemical decontamination involves applying the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) HAZWOPER Standards as well as being able to thoroughly identify what chemical or substance caused the contamination.  Many chemicals can affect our health, some with the potential to cause death or chronic illness.  After identifying the chemical that caused the contamination and gathering other important information, we will begin to create a safety plan for entry into the contaminated area.

As with all emergency decontamination projects, our number one concern is safety.  Within our safety protocols anything that is an imminent life safety threat will take priority and must be addressed immediately.  We will complete an initial Job Hazard Analysis and will continue to update it daily to ensure all risks are addressed.

Hazardous chemicals can cause harm through multiple ways of exposure and the most common source is inhalation. We will make sure the appropriate respiratory protection program is in place and provide the correct respirators for the job at hand.  Protecting our workers and anyone that is potentially exposed is critical and one mistake could cost someone their life.

If you have a hazardous chemical spill or event, we are here to help you mitigate and decontaminate.  We offer hazardous chemical decontamination throughout the United States and are standing by when you need us the most.
